The News Herald is a Pulitzer Prize winning publication that serves Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Walton and Washington counties in the state of Florida. The paper received a Pulitzer Prize in 1962 in the public service reporting category for “its three-year campaign against entrenched power and corruption with resultant reforms.”
