DAYTONA BEACH, FL, June 27, 2012 - Halifax Media Group today closed a deal with Freedom Communications to purchase eight daily and 11 weekly publications located in Florida and North Carolina. The acquisition further expands Halifax Media’s reach in these states, following the January 6, 2012 purchase of the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group.
With the Freedom purchase, total circulation for the Halifax Media Group will grow to 635,000 daily and 752,000 Sunday.
