The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic and dedicated to achieving and surpassing sales goals. The position reports to the Advertising Director and is expected to work collaboratively with 9 other Halifax Media Newspapers in the region. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for setting sales goals, foster excellent customer service, and develop new revenue streams, setting and meeting budgets and representing the paper in the community. We are looking for someone who has led cross selling efforts in print and on the web and can work collaboratively with his/her peers. The candidate should possess strong organizational, communication and computer skills, as well as the ability to think strategically, to identify opportunities and work with a team. A college degree in advertising or marketing preferred but not required. Ten years of sales experience and previous media sales management are required.
